VOLUNTEER AT THE Lake Crossing
CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS: HELP OUT AT THE EVENT
Dear Friends of the Zurich Sea Lions and Rainbow Sport Zurich
Our 30th annual lake crossing (SeeüberQUEERung) is coming in July, and we need volunteers to help make this year’s event the most memorable yet!
We’ll be welcoming more than 170 swimmers for this year’s crossing, which will run from Tiefenbrunnen to Mythenquai on Saturday, 18 July. To successfully manage the event, we’ll need volunteers to assist with:
- Swimmer registration
- Swimming cap distribution
- Directions and wayfinding at the start and finish line
- Timekeeping
- Transport of swimmer's belongings
Generally, volunteer times will run between 830am and 1230pm, although these may vary by the duties you are performing.
Should the weather dampen our fun in July, our alternate date for the crossing will be 22 August. We would love to have volunteers who are available for both dates, just in case - but helping once is great, too!
To keep the event running smoothly, volunteers cannot participate in the crossing itself - but that’s no problem, because you’re invited to picnic with us afterwards.

We are also seeking volunteers for canoe, kayak, SUP and motorboat assistance during the event.
